Digital Citizenship: You, Your Devices & the Internet

with Tyler Provencher

$8

In-Person

Digital Citizenship: You, Your Devices & the Internet contains two parts. The first, Digital Citizenship, focuses on what it means to be involved in, engage with and navigate digital spaces.

These digital spaces include social media websites and online shopping (Amazon, eBay, etc.), as well as environments such as MyChart, text messaging, and phone calls.

We will review measures for using digital spaces safely and securely such as password storage and identifying spam, spoof messages, or scams.

The second part (You, Your Devices & the Internet) will build on information from section one and focus on understanding, developing, and implementing healthy digital habits. These habits can include monitoring how much time we spend on our devices and the quality and types of content that we view. We will review how to effectively integrate our devices and content into our daily lives in the contexts of productivity /professional development and leisure time.
