Warm Weather Hiking

with Nadine Marchand

Add to Wait List
Class is full

Once a month on the third Tuesday, we will go hiking for the afternoon. The hikes may be in the moderate category, up to 2.5 to 3 miles, but not in the difficult range. In the event of bad weather, the hike will be 2 days later on Thursday. In general, we will leave Farmington at 12:30 and arrive at the hiking location about 1:00.

Pets:  Due to safety and liability issues, no pets are allowed at GLI events. Exceptions may be made for service animals, upon request.

Before each trip, you will receive information about the hike, including length and difficulty rating. It's recommended that you bring a pack with water, small snacks, sunscreen, bug dope, and protection in case of unforeseen rain. Tentative hikes are as follows:

July 16 - Sanders Hill in Rome & Vienna

August 20 - Cascade Stream Gorge just south of Rangeley

September 17 - Parker Pond Headland Preserve in Fayette

October 15 - Mountain Trail in Rome

Nadine is a fair-weather outdoors person whose dad regularly took the kids on hikes. When the weather is decent, she loves being outdoors walking or gardening. Anything you've heard to the contrary is just not exactly accurate.
